Open your eyes, open your mouth

Welcome to StandAndBeCounted. This is a site dedicated to organising mail campaigns against censorship. We're founded on the ideas that intelligent human beings should be able to make their own decisions, and there is strength in numbers. A hundred thousand letters against something can win concessions, yet compared to the number of people affected by the decisions, a hundred thousand is a tiny number. Freedoms are restricted every day because not enough people are fighting back against the minority that seeks to impose those restrictions. At StandAndBeCounted, we're trying to change that.

Speaking among ourselves isn't enough. Opinions that never move beyond mutterings change nothing. Speaking up, however, standing up and making our opinions known , can change the world. That is what we at StandAndBeCounted do-help other people speak out. If you have an opinion, we will see to it that you can stand up, be counted, and know that your voice does matter.
